At the University of Lusaka (UNILUS), we believe that every Lecturer has the responsibility of selecting and designing suitable learning experiences to provide optimal learning opportunities for the students; this is a specialised skill that requires some formal training. Ultimately, education is used to explore the content of instruction, learning and actual operations. At the UNILUS, we are passionate about grooming Lecturers and Trainers with the knowledge, values and appropriate skills to aid in the development of education on a national and global level. Many Lecturers are qualified in various fields of education; few have attained a teaching methodology qualification. UNILUS introduced this postgraduate diploma with the aims of equipping Lecturers with the pedagogy of lecturing or delivering training. Pursuing this course at UNILUS will enable you to: interpret education and training policies, use and philosophical theories of learning, and inevitably equip you with the skills to be an exceptional educator.
As a general rule, applicants for Postgraduate Diploma Programmes must hold a good first Degree in the relevant field of their desired studies or acceptable professional qualifications such as ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, ACA, inter alia. However, a tentative separate system of entry requirements may be devised, in the discretion of the Senate, should an exceptionally deserving case of application arise.
